SoPlay (Social Play among Casual, Cross-Media Contents) is a research project focusing on the emerging world of social media and games. The goal of the project is to produce new information on playful activity and games in social media contexts, offering new guidelines and practices how to study, develop and produce successful social media services with the possibilities for implicit and explicit playfulness. The keyword in the project is social playability which will be studied from various perspectives.

The research is done in the University of Tampere, Games Research Lab. We are part of the Department of Information Studies and Interactive Media.
