Welcome to SoPlay project website! SoPlay is a Finnish research project focusing on social media and games. The research is done at the Games Research Lab of University of Tampere. We are part of the Department of Information Studies and Interactive Media and we were formerly known as Hypermedia Laboratory.

The project is funded by Tekes (Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation) and several industry partners. Our industry partners are RAY, Veikkaus, Digital Chocolate, Everyplay and Moido Games.
